Funny Crosby Moments...

Crosby keeps us laughing around the house. Here are some of the more memorable moments...
-cheerfully saying "Hey, you" when looking into the mirror the other day

-shouting "Uh, Oh" repeatedly as our expected Christmas tree gave in to the saw and fell to the ground

-One day last week, I was calling his name from the kitchen as he played in the playroom. He responded but I couldn't tell what he was saying so I again called his name. Finally, I realized he was saying "minute," as in, just give me a minute lady!

-calling all brooms "witches" and begging to play with them

-picking up on the another phone as I talked with my mom and shouting "HEL-LO, NA-NA"

-I asked him on the way into Taco Bell last week if he wanted a taco to eat. He didn't stop repeating "taco taco taco" until he finally had his very own taco in front of him.

-yelling "Maxie" out the window and then "door pease" while looking at me in desperation to open the door

He has such a fun personality and brings us such joy!

Merry Christmas!!

Oh, Christmas Tree...

Crosby thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Tree Hunt. Actually, he mainly enjoyed running through rows and rows of trees and carrying the saw case. Crosby wasn't really even paying attention to Kelby cutting down the tree until it began to fall. He stopped playing as he watched the tree falling to the ground while shouting "Uh Oh" the entire time. So, it's sounding like such a fun little family night, right? Well, the story goes on...as they prepared our tree for it's ride home, the trunk split right down the middle. So, the sun's setting, the temperature's dropping and our tree that we carefully picked out, cut down, and carried back to the stand is no longer an option. :-) As it was too late to go out looking for another one, we just loaded up in the car and stopped by Home Depot on the way home!!! In the end, we still have a beautiful Christmas tree!!

In Memory of Domino

This past Saturday, after being together for almost exactly seven years, we had to put Domino to sleep. Although we knew that it was for the best and that she wasn't going to get any better, it was an unbearably hard thing to do. It still seems so surreal. Max now walks around as if he's lost and Crosby continues to get out two doggie treats every time we go outside.

This experience is such a reminder of how fragile life truly is and how quickly things can change.

Noah's Art

Painting A Pumpkin

I was very impressed with how well Crosby handled painting for the first time. I was prepared for disaster. You know, bright green paint on us, the table, the floor and anything else between us and the tub. He totally surprised me and just sat there painting his pumpkin with such a serious little face.

Halloween Visit in GA

We spent Halloween weekend in Georgia visiting friends and family. Crosby surprisingly enjoyed being dressed up in his costume and looked mighty cute, I'd say. Thanks for the Mickey Mouse costume, Mimi. On Sunday, we spent the day with Kelby's extended family in Cleveland, Georgia. It was a beautiful fall day to spend in the mountains.

"Hmmmm....how am I going to eat my lollipop with this big, white glove on my hand?"

"No more gloves...that's how I'll get my sucker!"

Trick or Treating at King's Mountain State Park

He also has white gloves and yellow booties that didn't make it into many pictures!

Downtown Charleston

Okay, so I didn't get any pictures of the picturesque downtown area
but I did get some cute photos of Crosby and Daddy playing around downtown. :-)
