Baby Gracyn's Room

Crosby helped with the painting too. Of course, he's the larger ladybug and
Gracyn's the baby following her big brother around.

This is the vine that continues all around the room.

DInsoaurs!!

I walked into Crosby’s room tonight to the sound of him sobbing as he apparently just had a really bad dream. Between the snubs, he finally said “the big dinosaur was going to hurt me.” I assured him that no dinosaur was going to hurt him and that he was safe in his room but he wasn’t content with that. He started asking about the dinosaurs and if they lived close to us. I smiled and gently said, “No, the dinosaurs lived a very long time ago and they’re all gone now.” Bad move. The wailing began again and this time he was sobbing “They’re gone. They’re all gone, gone, gone.” Seriously!! You were just scared to death of them and now you’re sad they’re gone! He then wanted to know where they went and why. Um, I don’t know. “Heaven.” Yep, Heaven sounded like a good, happy answer. “Why did they go to Heaven?” “Well, they lived a long time and then got old and eventually died.” “Why didn’t the doctors make them better? Now I’ll never get to hug one. Do they get to play in Heaven?” Twenty minutes after I walked in the room, we were finally able to move off the sad dinosaur tragedy.

Cow Aprecciation Day at Chick-Fil-A

The cows with our little milk maid in the middle!

Can you read my belly sign? It reads, "Moo...I KICK 4 CHIKIN!" I can never get the ears right. This year, they just kept flopping around and didn't look so much like cow ears. :-)

We even had tails!

So, we were in a hurry leaving the house one morning and this is how Crosby came out ready to go. From top to bottom, a navy flat cap, dinosaur pajama long sleeve top, white t-shirt on top of pj top turned backwards, black shorts and blue rain boots. And the best part was that he thought he had done really well dressing himself. :-) It was just one of those mornings where I didn't want to fight it so I let him go like this to two different stores before going over to a friend's house.

Happy July 4th!

Today's harvest...

Yum, Yum!!! We are loving our fresh tomatoes! :-) Thus far, we've had lots of squash and a few zucchini. Our #1 producers this year are cucumbers although they look rather odd. :-) We have a few cantaloupes coming along and our beans are beginning to fill out. I love a garden!

One of the best parts of summer....

ICE CREAM!!!

Hannah & Nana Came to Visit

Crosby and I had lots of fun with Hannah and Nana. We went to Southpark Mall and ate at the Cheesecake Factory!! We also went to see Open Season at the theater. Our local theaters offer free kids movies during the summer. Wahoo! Crosby was very excited to get to go to see a movie and to get popcorn and m&ms! Thanks for coming to see us!! :-)

Hannah was very excited to have skittles with her popcorn!
