The Busy Month of May

Hey Everyone,
Sorry that it's been a month since the last post! May was filled with lots of fun and excitement for us. We started the month off with Crosby's 2nd Birthday on May 3rd. We had a wonderful party in GA with all our family. Crosby had such a great time with all his favorite people. You'll see the video posted below from the birthday song. His reaction to everyone singing to him was a total surprise. Last year he ducked his head and tried to hide but this year was a little different. :-) After returning from GA, we had another birthday party at Martha Rivers Park with all our little friends. Crosby thoroughly enjoyed playing and celebrating with all his buddies.

A few weeks later, Kelby celebrated his 32nd birthday. He didn't get to spend his birthday playing and eating cupcakes like Croz but we did go to Carowinds after work. Mimi & Papa also came up that weekend for a visit and to celebrate Kelby's birthday.

Crosby and I had an exciting trip to the beach with our friends. There were a total of 6 moms and 7 tots on the trip! We had tons of fun digging in the sand, splashing in the lazy river and playing with our friends. I'll try to post pictures soon from the beach.

After leaving the beach, Crosby and I drove the six hour trek from Myrtle Beach to Jefferson for a visit. We walked a few laps (while Crosby ran sprints on the field) at the Relay for Life and sampled lots of the yummy treats, too. Crosby ran until his little heart was content and had a great time playing with his favorite Maddie. On Saturday, we all surprised Sandra at Inoko's for her 60th Birthday. Happy Birthday, Mimi!!

It was actually on Crosby's birthday that we received an offer on our house. A few days later we signed the contract. :-) So the rest of May was filled with appraisals, inspections, and lots of packing. We have now moved from "Crosby's house" as we learned to call it and are renting an apartment from some friends. Nana came back from GA last week to help with Crosby as we moved. Boy, was she a lifesaver! We all seem to be making the adjustment quite well and Crosby loves the "part-ment." We've now closed on our house and are waiting to close on the construction loan to begin building the new house. Kelby has already put up a mailbox for us at the lot in hopes that the house will follow soon.

Our new address is 354 Squirrel Lane Lake Wylie, Sc 29710

We finished off this busy week with a yummy meal at Macaroni Grill in Greenville where we met Pops and Hannah. After a full week of Crosby time (i.e. The Energizer Bunny), Nana was in need of a little rest. :-)

Hope you all are enjoying your summer and I'll try to post some recent pictures soon!
Jaime
